Didja Notice?

Many of the buildings at the breakaway colony on the unnamed planet in neutral space in the flashback sequence on page 9 look like Quonset huts. On Earth, Quonset huts were introduced by the U.S. Navy during WWII as a lightweight, easy to ship and assemble building for housing offices, barracks, latrines, and medical facilities. Surplus huts were also sold throughout the U.S. after the war and can still be seen in many parts of the country.

It's not clear in the flashback sequences if Amanda is Byron's wife or just his girlfriend.

Gemenon has an ice-covered moon called Tycus.
